Why Become a Member

Every year our state and federal government proposes additional health coverage legislation.  TBAHU's legislative committee actively influences state and federal legislative activities.  Our national and state associations have political action committee's that collects donations from members for current and prospective legislators.  NAHU is ultimately in charge of how these donations are distributed, not TBAHU.

TBAHU's educational committee promotes agent education through sponsoring Continuing Education courses at a reduced or no cost.  TBAHU provides its membership with sales, regulatory and industry knowledge that is vital to preserving their profession and livelihood.  While offering opportunity's to network and mentor with other benefit specialists, giving newly licensed professionals the opportunity to better determine what information is crucial to their future success. 

TBAHU maintains positive working relationships with insurance carriers, effectively creating an independent agent network.  This allows our membership to stay up to date with each carrier's most effective sales and service delivery options for their products.

Our membership is open to the general public, but we do have a code of ethics.  We require that our members be financially prudent and act in a responsible manner.  Our members help educate the public and decision makers about the value health insurance professionals deliver in helping consumers access the health care system.  This is accomplished through education and association involvement, increasing a member's ability to better serve consumers.  We welcome members from all walks of life and industries that help us achieve our goals.
